He Sees. He Knows. He Will Restore.
Today, I found myself grieving deeply in my spirit. I couldn’t shake the weight pressing on my heart. So I did what I’ve learned to do—I went to the Word. And the Holy Spirit, in His faithfulness, led me to Jeremiah 23.
“Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.
Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people:
“Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the Lord.
“I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number.
I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord.
— Jeremiah 23:1–4 (NIV)
My heart aches for every sheep who has been hurt, neglected, or manipulated—especially at the hands of those who were supposed to protect and guide. The Lord sees it all. He does not turn a blind eye to abuse, neglect, or spiritual deception. People are not God. When people fail us—when they lead us astray, when they trample on our trust—it is not a reflection of God’s character.
Let me remind you: God is not like man. He is just. He is merciful. He is faithful.
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?”
— Numbers 23:19
The hurt is real. The betrayal is painful. But the Father is near to the brokenhearted.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
You may feel scattered, like you've been wandering in spiritual confusion or isolation. But the Lord says, "I Myself will gather the remnant." He’s coming for you. He’s drawing you back—not to religion, not to man-made systems—but to Himself. To His pasture. His care. His heart.
He is raising up new shepherds—pure-hearted, Spirit-led leaders who will protect, feed, and love His flock. And until that moment of divine placement, know this: you are not forgotten. You are not alone. You are not without a Shepherd.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
— John 10:11
Don’t let their actions—those who misused authority or misrepresented the Lord—push you away from the true Father. His arms are still open. His heart still beats with love for you. He hasn’t changed. He never left.
Yes, everything happened for a reason. You’ve walked through fire. You’ve endured the stripping. But what the enemy meant for evil, God is using for good.
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
— Genesis 50:20
You are stronger now. Wiser now. You can discern what is from the Lord and what is not. Don’t let the enemy rob you of your blessing by dragging you back into bitterness, silence, or fear.
STAND FIRM.
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:13
God will restore. He will gather. He will heal.
